A surgical procedure that vacuums fatty deposits from under the skin; often effective for removal of fatty deposits that do not respond to dietary modification
Melanin
Skin pigment (substance that gives the skin its color): dark-skinned people have more melanin than light-skinned people
Osteoporosis
A condition that affects especially older women and is characterized by decrease in bone mass with decreased density and enlargement of bone spaces producing porosity and fragility
Photoaging
The damage that accumulates in the skin from years of excessive and chronic sun exposure; photoaging accounts for much of the facial "old look" associated with aging
